Nice website!
Johnny Cupcakes is a quirky American fashion brand, that just opened a new store in London's Carnaby street...
The T shirt designs...
...and the box they come in...
They also have a really nice, simple website, which carries on the American simple typography feel, well worth a look...
Calling all illustration fans...
Whilst on my trip to London I spotted a little T shirt shop which contains some rather nice little ditties, for those of us who like a bit of illustration, take a look at these...
They also let you submit your artwork, and if they like it you could see someone walking down the street donning your design on their back, so put pencil to paper and get scribbling!!
AMAZING book, that EVERYONE needs...
I bought this book form the Taschen shop in London, it is packed full to the brim with cool packaging designs...it's worth a look...

Companies I Would Love To Work For...
VAULT 49
www.vault49.com
Vault 49 are a New York based design company with a client list that most people only dream about, they have worked with the likes of Coca-Cola, Nike, Nintendo, BBC and Orange...to mention a few! Made up of a team of illustrators, screen printers, photographers, 3D model makers and designers, they fuse mediums to create works of art that are truly unique. As a company their aim is to blur the lines between art and design, and create design that goes beyond work, it becomes a part of life.
I would love to work for Vault 49 because their art is amazing, I have taken great inspiration from them in my work in the past and would love the opportunity to even go on a placement so I could learn from their expertise. It would also be a really good chance to see how things work in New York, the hub of many well known design companies.
LAZY OAF
www.lazyoaf.co.uk
Lazy Oaf is and East London based fashion brand that was started by Gemma Sheil back in 2001, who sold her hand printed T-shirts from a market stall. Today, the brand is available from 150 stockists world wide! They lead the brand with bright, pop, retro lead illustrations and graphics, which can be found on a whole host of things from purses to bobble hats.
I would like to work for Lazy Oaf as I love the designs they do, and I would like to do something similar in the future, starting my own boutique like brand, maybe only selling T-shirts. So to gain insight into how they generate ideas, and the processes they go through to reach the final product would be really valuable. They do offer placements to graduates, so when my portfolio is complete I am going to apply to them and see if I can even go for a short stay.

Ian Keltie
Ian specialises in design and illustration, creating most of his work in Photoshop. Previously working for the BBC before he started out on this venture, he has illustrated for the the likes of The New York Times and Rolling Stone Magazine.
Jason Cochrane
Jason designs more for the web and animation. He is a whizz on Illustrator. Having also worked for the BBC in London, his client list includes Sony Xbox!
Richard Jefferson
Richard takes care of the marketing side of things, often generation ideas for different projects the guys have on. His previous clients include Canon and Mini.
I have completed a placement over the summer at this agency, which I really enjoyed and learned so much. Each team member has their own strength in different fields so it makes a really creative atmosphere. I also enjoyed being there, as everyone is so nice and supportive. I felt like part of the team. I have been offered a year long placement there for my third year which I can't wait for.

Latest Project
It feels like ages since I posted anything on here!! So best fill some empty space!! I have been working on a T shirt brand, and some T shirt designs to go along side it, with an aim to get them printed to sell at final show. here is what I have come up with so far...
I plan on this being an on going project, even after it is submitted, I have loads of ideas for illustrations, so hopefully will be able to get more than two printed!
I will also be making the retail bags and swing tags etc to go with my designs, hopefully I have added a couple of little touches to make them extra special. I will post some pictures when they are all done and dusted! TTFN :D
