Own Branding!!

Been a while since I have posted anything, well one of the things that has taken me away from my otherwise regular blogging, is developing a logo for myself.  I thought the best place to start was to take inspiration from styles I like, so I looked at 18th and 19th century ornamental type, and gave it a modern twist.  Here is the initial idea...

I'm not sure it is finished yet, but this is my latest idea for my business card.  Im pleased with it, let me know what you think :)

Really nice illustrator!

Just read the latest edition of CR and there was a really nice feature on a graphic designer I shamefully have not heard of before, and thought you all should check her out!  Marian Bantjes does some amazingly beautiful work, if you like ornamental, patterns or typography, this will be right up your street, take a look...

First Post!!

Heyyyy, well this is my first post, so best make it a good one!  

Thought I would start it off with posting some of the work I have done over the summer.  I am very thankful to the guts at Keltie Cochrane, who let me stay for three weeks on placement there, I had so much fun and learned a heap!  Thanks guys!
